Job Summary:
The Nuclear Material Handler is responsible for the safe and efficient handling, storage, and transport of radioactive materials within a nuclear energy facility. The incumbent will adhere to strict safety protocols and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and prevent any potential risks or incidents. The Nuclear Material Handler will work closely with the Nuclear Material Handling Supervisor and other team members to support the overall operations of the facility.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Safely handle and transport radioactive materials, following established protocols and guidelines.
2. Perform routine inspections and maintenance of equipment and storage areas to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
3. Operate specialized equipment such as forklifts, cranes, and hoists to move and position radioactive materials.
4. Prepare and package radioactive materials for shipping and maintain accurate records of shipments.
5. Monitor and maintain inventory levels of radioactive materials, ensuring proper storage and organization.
6. Conduct radiation surveys and measurements to ensure the safety of personnel and compliance with regulatory limits.
7. Collaborate with other team members to coordinate the movement and transfer of radioactive materials as required.
8. Follow emergency response procedures and participate in drills to maintain preparedness for potential incidents.
